Hi Everyone:

I guess it's really no surprise for me to announce that my favorite classic film actor is Robert Taylor. Just take a look at my Ryze photo -- can't get past that face! He was a beautiful man, literally. His "nickname" was "the man with the perfect face."

And his beauty often got in the way of his acting talent. He was a solid actor, very much a romantic lead. As he aged, he did so well with crime films, playing the hardened detective type. Also -- westerns. He did a lot of westerns. Most often he played either side of the coin: the lawman out searching for the bad guy . . . or the bad guy on the run. He could pull off both with equal style & believability.

He was a natural on a horse. In fact, as a child, he grew up in rural Nebraska, spending his childhood summers riding horses, playing with animals, and enjoying the outdoors. He even had his own pony!

Who is YOUR favorite classic film actor?

Blessings -- Linda

If I'd had my druthers, James Cagney would have been my father. :-) There was something about him that has never changed over time.

I just love the man.

I have 11 horses, can I be an actor now? LOL Just kidding of course.

My favorite classic film actor/actress is Bette Davis. While she may not have had the most beautiful face in Hollywood, she still turned heads. One of my favorite movies she made was when she played Mrs. Effington(spell?)

Another favorite was "Dark Victory". Ohhhh and what about Baby Jane, LOL

Veru verstile indeed.
