Movies and Politics don't mix. They have their seperate ways. The minute they flow from one to another, they are bound to corrupt the other.

Joe:

Thx for posting. Can you tell me why you think Hollywood & politics don't mix? What are your thoughts on it?

I was intrigued by the words you used, "corrupt each other." I can agree with that. One or the other tends to get short shrift.

Yet the truth is that they HAVE mixed for just about as long as they've both existed. The amazingly far-reaching audience granted to someone in the arts-related public eye gives that person a platform upon which he/she can speak, & people listen.

Why do they listen? Here's the real question. WHY does the public care what an actor or musician or even a writer thinks about politics of the day? Is that artist qualified to be a political activist as well as an artist?

Would love to hear what you have to say.

Blessings -- Linda
